Our Little Cowboy
My mom bought this sleeper for Benson so I could take a few pictures of him in it and send them to my brother Catlin, who is serving a mission in Arizona. Catlin likes to act like a cowboy and wear a belt buckle and cowboy hat.
Benson Is 2 Weeks Old
I decided to dress Benson up last night and take a few pictures because it was his 2 week birthday! He was a good sport about it. I did it right after I feed him because he is usually happy, awake and alert for a while right after eating. Also in some of the pictures you can see a little spike in Benson's hair. I was trying to make it stand up and was able to get a little bit to stand up, although it's not in the middle of his head it was still cute.

Michael & Benson
Michael does a great job burping Benson and while he was burping him today he decided to be wide awake! He was awake for about 45 minutes before he decided to go back to sleep. He was having a great time listening to Dad sing and make faces with him.
Benson Awake
Last night Benson decided he wanted to be awake in between feedings instead of sleeping. At first it was cute to have him awake and looking around, which is when I took this pictures. However, after 30 minutes it wasn't so fun because Michael and I both wanted to go back to bed. Michael was great and stayed up with Benson for about 4 hours in the morning so I could sleep.
Benson Sucking His Thumb
Ahh! Benson tries to suck his thumb every chance he gets! He really likes to put all of his fingers in his mouth but I caught him today sucking on this thumb. I laid him down to change his clothes and I turned around to grab his blanket and when I turned back around he was sucking his thumb. I ran and got my camera and when I came back he was still sucking his thumb!
Benson Looking at Dad
Michael was holding Benson and he was so alert I had to take a few pictures! I love when he trys to interact with us by looking at us and looking around. If only I knew what he was thinking? He is so darn cute when he opens his big eyes!
Benson's Croc Shirt
Benson has this really cute preemie onsie that has a croc on it. It reminds me of Michael because he dos this great Croc Hunter impression. Benson has only worn the onsie a few times and I think he has out grown it so of course I had to take a few pictures of him in it before it no longer fits him. Also, Benson isn't going to be a binky baby. I only let him have his binky when he is really, really upset or when we change his diaper because he gets upset we're not picking him up.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?
Michael and I watched the tv show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grade tonight and I think it is my new favorite show. Contestants are asked questions ranging from 1st grade to 5th grade level and win money for each question they get right with the grade prize being 1 million dollars. The questions are so hard! A 1st grade level question tonight was name the part of an insect a)thorax 2) lorrax or 3)synax. What? First, who knows the parts of an insect? Second, do they really teach that to you in 1st grade? I felt like an idiot! The show is really funny and the kids on it on really cute. Everyone should check it out Thursday nights on Fox.
Benson's Newborn Outfit
Benson has been wearing preemie outfits because he's so small but today he didn't have any clean preemie sleepers so I had to put him in a newborn sleeper and it actually wasn't that big. I think he is growing! He still fits into his preemie sleepers but now his newborn ones don't drowned him, they are just a little big.
Benson & Me
Michael took these pictures of me holding Benson while Benson was just looking around. He sleeps a lot of the time as all newborns do but is also very alert, looking around usually a few times a day. I love when he looks around because he gets this really cute, curious look on his face. If I only knew what he was thinking?

B is for Benson and Burps
Michael does a great job burping Benson after I feed him and Benson is a great burper. We will have to seriously think about entering him in burping contests when he is older. He burps so loud and long. I think our neighbors and people down the street can hear him!

Benson's 10 Day Check Up Outfit
I had to dress Benson up today to take him to his 10 day check up and he looked so darn cute. However, because he is so tiny none of his clothes fit him. Newborn size clothes are for babies around 8 pounds so all of Benson's clothes are way too big on him. Even though they were big he looked awful cute dressed up. By the time we got home though he wasn't in the pictures taking mood. I still wanted to take a few pictures of him though. He looked so cute in his red polo shirt, blue cords and shoes with baseballs on them.
