Benson loves to sit in his bouncy chair. I took a few pictures while he was sleeping because he just looked so cute. I think he was having a good dream because he started to smile.
My mom bought Benson this bunting outfit and matching hat & gloves. It is the cutest thing ever and he looked so cute in it! It is huge on him but I'm sure it kept him warm. We couldn't help but take a bunch of pictures because he looked so adorable in the outfit.
Benson had his first doctor's appointment on Tuesday. He looked so cute dressed up to go out. My mom bought him these really cute brown boots which went perfect with his outfit. The outfit itself is a little big because it's a newborn size and Benson fits into preemie size but it was still cute and looked really comfortable.
It's been an adjustment for Georgia having to share our attention with Benson. She still isn't quite sure about him and the funny noises he makes. I think she is pretty jealous but hopefully she will get over it. It's funny because when I'm holding Benson or sitting by him she won't have anything to do with me but as soon as I put him down she follows me around or lays right next to me. I'm sure in time they will become best friends!
Benson was born Friday at 3:02 pm. He's a shrimp! He weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce and is 17.5 inches long. He's obviously going to be very tall! We will post some pictures soon. You can view his hospital picture at http://www.gritman.org/ and clicking on Stork Report.
These are a few pictures from Christmas. We had a great time spending time with Michael's parents. Georgia loved having visitors and we enjoyed spending time with them and that they flew all the way to Idaho, braving the snow from Alabama.
I had Michael take these pictures last Thursday before our doctor's appointment in case it was our last and it might have been. Our doctor was shocked at how low Benson's head is. As of Thursday I was 3 cm dilated, 90% efaced and his head was a +1 station. Our doctor said he was ready to come any day! We'll keep everyone posted.
Here are a few pictures of my growing belly. Some are a little blurry
but you can still my belly is growing! Georgia, who usually doesn't want her picture taken decided she needed to be in a picture as well, standing at my feet.
Here are a few more pictures from my shower. The picture of the cookies have a fun story. My friend Michelle made sugar cookies and then made a sign out of them that said, "It's a boy!!! Benson Michael." However, she dropped a few cookies in the snow carrying them so it actually said, "It's a boy!!! Benso Michae." So, I guess Benson's nickname is Benso!
These are pictures from my baby shower. It turned out great and I had a lot of fun. It was thrown by my friends Cari and Emma and they did a great job. We played two funs games and had yummie snacks to eat. The first game allowed everyone to guess the size of my belly with string and then I held each person's around my belly to see how close or in most cases how far off the size was. The second game involved candy bars melted in diapers. Cari melted different candy bars in diapers and we had to guess what candy bar was in each diaper. It's actually a lot harder than I thought. It was pretty funny seeing everyone stick their noses in diapers with "poop." I guess I don't know my candy bars very well because I only got 7 out of 12 correct.
Michael decided he needed to shovel our back patio slab so it didn't become covered in ice. He decided the best time to this was during the snow storm, in shorts and sandals! The pictures are taken by me, I was inside the house but Georgia thought she needed to be outside helping.
