Michael decided to shave his beard because the last time he had a huge beard Benson was scared of him. However, he decided to leave a mustache instead of shaving it all. We both decided he looked like Mario or Luigi.... or maybe Stupuigi the step-brother of Mario and Luigi. Who do you think he looks like?

I was laughing so hard while taking these pictures that my hand was shaking. This picture turned our a little blurry because of that. It such a funny picture. It makes Michael look 40 years old and drunk. It reminds me of a mug shot for a guy with a DUI.

Kiddie Kandids

I took Benson to Kiddie Kandids, a portrate studio in the mall yesterday to get his pictures taken. Of course he was super happy and smiled a ton. The picture studio is a booth in the middle of the mall so people walking by can see you getting your pictures taken. About 10 people stopped walking and said "He's so cute," "He has such a great smile," "What a doll." I know, he's the cutest baby ever!

Benson Laughing

Benson has started to laugh instead of just making noise. He really likes when I tickle his belly with my head. This isn't the best video of him laughing, he usually does it a lot more but he does laugh a little in this video

Benson Squealing

Benson has really found his voice the last few days. He squeals until he can't squeal anymore! He's also starting to make more vowel sounds instead of just noise so hopefully he'll say his first word soon. I keep telling him "say mama" or "say dada."

Trouble???

I found this onsie at Old Navy and thought it was perfect for Benson. We call both Benson and Georgia trouble. Although both are trouble I don't know what Michael and I would do without either of them, they both bring so much happiness to our lives ( and a little trouble).

Last Night

Last night I feed Benson some rice cereal with applesause and gave him a bottle before bed. He slept from 9:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m! He's never slept through the night before. For about a week he slept from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. but then started waking up again once or twice. I didn't know what to do with myself. I kept waking up to make sure he was till breathing, and he was. I think it was the rice cereal that held him over. I guess we'll see tonight if him sleeping through the night was a fluke or really the rice cereal.

Benson Eating

Benson is so funny when he eats lately. Anytime he sees food or his bottle he opens his mouth and tries to get whatever I have.

Benson and His Bumbo Chair

My sister's friend loaned me this bumbo chair (I know it's pink) for Benson. It is for babies who can't sit up on their own to learn to sit up. Benson can totally sit up on his own now but I still use it to feed him because I don't have a highchair yet. However, he's gotten a little big for it, or I should say his thighs have gotten a little big for it. Now when I pick him up to take him out of the chair his thighs get stuck! Poor little guy can't help that he's chubby! I'd rather him be chubby and have fat thighs than be skinny!

Benson Sleeping

Benson is now starting to fall asleep on his own as long as he has a blanket to hold on to. We just bought him a Thomas the Train silky blanket that he loves to hold. He's so funny when he gets tired because I will lay him down and he flails his arms like crazy and then just crashes and falls asleep. Yesterday when I layed him down he kept swinging his arms and his blanket ended up on his head.

As I was attempting to find something to wear today I decided to try on my favorite jeans from before I became pregnant and guess what ???? ... They now fit!!! Happy Day!

Benson's 6 Month Check-Up

Benson had his 6 month check-up today. Although he is almost 7 months old he had his 6 month check-up a little late because we've been in Twin Falls for the summer. Sadly, today was our last doctor's appointment with Dr. Shupe because he is retiring at the end of the month. Dr. Shupe has been a great doctor and we will miss having him take care of Benson.

Benson now weighs ... 17 pounds 7 ounces!! Yeah, he gained 4 pounds in two and half months! He is almost in the 50th percentile for weight. He is 25 1/4 inches long but only in the 5th percentile. for heighth. I keep saying he is destined to be short and chubby and so far that is proving to be true.

Benson is such a ham around other people. He loves when people talk to him. He smiles and jabbers at anyone who even looks at him and if they talk to him he gets so giddy.
